SLINKACHU

Slinkachu is a artist who makes little model people seem like they're actually living in reality. He made a project called The 'Little People Project'. The 'Little People Project' started in 2006. It involves the remodeling and painting of miniature model train set characters, which then he places, photograph and leaves on the street. It is both a street art installation project and a photography project. The street-based side of his work plays with the notion of surprise and he aims to encourage city-dwellers to be more aware of their surroundings. The scenes Slinkachu sets up, more evident through the photography and the titles he gives these scenes aim to reflect the loneliness and melancholy of living in a big city, almost being lost and overwhelmed. But underneath this, there is always some humor. Slinkachu wants people to be able to empathize with the tiny people in his works.

This photo was the best out of my first take. The picture shows a small old couple sitting on a bench, as if it is there anniversary because as you can see, the man is kissing the woman's cheek. I like this picture because the surroundings are blurred out and the background is colorlessness and the couple are colorful. This picture could be improved if you could not see the blue tack.

I really like this photo. The picture shows a small old couple sitting on a bench like the first photo. I like this picture because the surroundings and the couple are colorful. This picture could be improved if you could not see the blue tack because it ruins the photo and the focus was on the old couple. You can see in the photo that the focus is mainly in the top right of the photo.

This is one of my photos in Slinkachus style which upset me. The blurring on it is bad, there is no story to it and it doesn't make sense. I think it could be improved if the soldiers were focused on, so people could imagine something extraordinary and create their own image in their mind and make a story out of it.
